About this website

This marketing website describes HotTakes and links to Apple’s TestFlight listing. It does not provide accounts, voting, comments, or other app functionality. Optional first-party website analytics can be enabled by the owner. With the default settings, collection begins only after you choose “Allow analytics.” No advertising pixels are added by this system.

Website analytics

When enabled and permitted, analytics records a random first-party visitor identifier, sessions, coarse country/region/city (if a GeoIP database is configured), referral domain, campaign labels, device/browser categories, page and section exposure, active time, scroll depth, navigation, and download-link clicks. We do not collect app accounts, names, emails, GPS coordinates, or browser fingerprints. IP addresses are processed transiently for approximate location and abuse protection; the analytics database retains only short-lived keyed rate-limit digests, not raw addresses. Hosting access logs are separate and must be reviewed by the owner.

The default raw-data retention is 90 days when scheduled cleanup is enabled. Visitor cookies and the local analytics choice expire after 90 days; visit cookies expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to turn collection off and clear identifier cookies. Declining does not remove previously collected records. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals disable this tracker. Approximate location and anonymous identifiers can still be regulated personal data; this draft needs legal review.

The site owner must review and document the hosting provider’s logging, any enabled analytics, contact-email handling, and the app’s actual data practices. A complete notice should explain the data collected, its purposes, providers, retention, user choices, and applicable privacy rights.
